Eek! I'm feeling so excited and also overwhelmed right now. When you're too sick to pack, but too bored to sit on the couch for another minute, what do you do? I reached out to one of my favorite illustrator's, Jess Bircham, to learn about her process. She has already responded (and is very kind!) and I have been added to her commissions list, probably to start working with her in August.
When Noé was sick in the hospital with encephalitis 20 years ago, I came up with my characters and started writing stories about them. Maybe now they will finally come to life and go out into the world!
