Bye-bye Gall Bladder!

After suffering with excruciating biliary colic for 7 months it was time for my gall bladder to go!  Leonard took me to the hospital early on Sunday morning.  They admitted me and said I'd be on the schedule for emergency surgery.  I finally got my surgery on Monday night and spent another night in the hospital.  On Tuesday I was able to go home.  I wish my body and energy could think I'm 25 forever!

On the way to the hospital we saw a coyote walking around our neighborhood.  We ended up giving a stranger a ride to the bus stop, so he wouldn't have to worry if the coyote was hungry or not, ha ha!

I want all wildlife to live well, just not so close to me!

Kaleb and Noé's #20

This was the first birthday that Kaleb and Noé celebrated not living at home, and their first one not together.  I'm so glad Kaleb's serving a mission and that Noé's going to school, but I sure miss them!

They facetimed each other, the silly goofs!

March 2022

Even more snow!

We're dreaming of green inside.

And silly rainbows!

Russia vs. Ukraine

Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy is the President of Ukraine.  He did not surrender to Russia, but is fighting for Ukraine's freedom and independence.

Of course, I'm rooting for Ukraine.  I fear the worst, but hope for the best.  I can't wait until Jesus Christ comes again and reigns on the earth for 1,000 years of peace!

Twosday Tuesday

I love that February 22, 2022 fell on a Tuesday!
Yes, I'm a nerd!

Au Naturel?

Me with air-dried hair, no make-up, and loungewear.

Me with curled hair, make-up, a dress (and of course my glasses so I can see).

Most days I am au naturel, but I feel more confident when I get all dolled up.

Bunkbeds

Macy's big girl bed inspired us to reassemble the big kids' bunkbeds and order some new Beddy's for them.

We got some Beddy's for Macy's bed too.

But she still prefers sleeping in her crib!

Chinese New Year & Valentine's

Our celebrations for these holidays were a bit low-key this year.  We had a tasty Asian salad and dumplings in honor of the new year of the Tiger.

For Valentine's Day we had strawberry smoothies, heart cakes, and chocolate walnut fudge.
A small celebration is better than none!

February 2022

More snow!

But it's warm inside.

With this lovey bunch.

Or crazy crew!

My sweet girls.

My sweet boys.

Gavin was ordained a Priest in the Aaronic Priesthood.  I'm so grateful for my men who love God.  I also think it's too sweet that Macy snuck up and grabbed Gavin's hand in this picture.

Big Girl Bed

We decided it was time to get Macy a big girl bed, so we got her a daybed with a trundle.

She likes it!  And can climb up all by herself.

And practice her yoga moves.

And get all comfy to sleep.

And get down by herself.

But, she still prefers sleeping in her crib.  That's fine with me, if it's fine with her, ha ha!

Macy's #4

Macy does not like party hats, but it's her party and she can cry if she wants to, ha ha!

Her siblings like them, so maybe one day she will too.

I had planned to get a Cheesecake Factory dessert from Costco, but they were out.  We had to settle for a strawberry cheesecake and caramel cheesecake from the grocery store instead, darn.

Make a wish!

She's happy now!

She does like some cheesecake!

Time for presents!

She does not like pictures very much, poor girl has me for her Momma though and I love pictures!

We sure love this little one.

And we got a picture of her with a party hat not crying, woo hoo!
