3

Our Ali Jo is 3!  While Daddy was at work and the kids were at school, she and I played dress-up in different hats.

We also played with her new ice cream and cupcake toys.

She played so hard she crashed out.

After dinner it was time for...

cake!!

"Happy Birthday to you!"

Make a wish.

She really is such a sweet girl...

with such silly siblings!

She is one lucky girl to have such great siblings!
Happy Birthday Ali, we love you so!!

Ali's Birthday Eve

Leonard had to work late on Ali's birthday, so we took her out for her birthday dinner the night before.

When we lived in Taiwan, Chili's was our family's favorite restaurant.  Here in India it's TGIFriday's.

This hat kept falling off, so...

Ali switched it to this one.

Bring on the presents!

Build your own ice cream cone and cupcake toys!

And lots of rainbow clothes, swimsuit, pj's, and shoes.

I originally bought the rainbow shorts with the popsicle shirt, and the heart shirt to go with the rainbow skirt.  However, when I got them out of the bag to wrap them, I discovered that the popsicle shirt was made for the rainbow skirt!  I didn't love the heart shirt with the rainbow shorts, so back to the store I went.  Flower shirt with rainbow shorts now and aqua shorts with the heart shirt, much better.  I also bought the middle dress and hair flowers earlier for her 3 year old pictures.  I wish I could wear such cute clothes, tee hee!

Ali picked out her birthday cake as well as some macarons (they didn't have the purple, lavender-flavored ones, so she chose the pink, rose-flavored ones).  We had planned to eat her cake this night, and to save the macarons so she could still have a treat on her actual birthday.  When we were walking home from the mall, she said, "It's dark outside, it's bedtime!" and she kept yawning.  She decided to have the macarons here and save her cake for her birthday.

As Ali says, "Delicious!"

2017 Professionals

Every year we have family pictures taken.  This year we hired a photographer (well a crew of 3 actually) to come to our apartment and snap some pics.  They got some cute ones inside our apartment, but my favorite ones were taken out on our garden floor.

Jump high!

Freeze dance!

This will probably be the one going in the Christmas card this year.  Act surprised when it arrives in the mail :).  However, I think the silly face one at the top of this post will probably be the one I enlarge to a 16x20 to hang in a frame.

Suzette's French Creperie and Cafe

After a hot day in the sun, we were all ready for some lunch.

This was the best baguette I've had since we've been in India.  Having it topped with chicken, feta, olives, basil, and fresh & sun dried tomatoes made it divine!  The green salad was such a treat too!  Len ordered the same thing, while Ali had probably the best grilled cheese sandwich in the world.

Of course, we had to get some crepes for dessert.  Len's was melted Belgian chocolate.

Ali's was salted butter caramel.

Mine was blueberries with mascarpone cream.  Delish!

We may have gotten some macarons to take home too.

Along with 3 goodies in this box...

Peanut Butter & Milk Chocolate; Dark Chocolate Praline; and Salted Butter Caramel!  I can't wait to eat these at our last day of school ice cream feast!
