Happy Hearts Day!

I finally have one thing up to make our house feel like home and it's seasonal decor, ha ha!

We took the closets out of our entry way and laundry room.  We put up shelves with 40 hooks in our laundry room for our family to hang all of our coats, jackets, and snow pants on, while we have this simple bench and shelf at the entry for guests to use AND for me to decorate for each month's holiday!

In January I didn't get too far, but I did order that cute little snowman.  Next year, I'll hopefully get January's theme finished and hopefully have all of the rest of the months done too!

I had visions of our family sitting around the table making different cute "heart" animals, like we did with the snowflakes.  However, life is more busy when school's in session vs. home for Christmas break.  I made these little heart monkeys for everyone instead.

Our Elementary school boys wrote out little Valentine cards for their classmates.

They each received a bunch of cute ones from their friends too.

Leonard made up some delicious salted caramel walnut fudge too!

Starting the week before Valentine's Day I dedicated a love song to each of my family members on Facebook.  My song for Macy:  My Girl by The Temptations.

It was a simple Valentine's Day, but filled with lots of love!

Leonard bought this cute Lambie Pie swing for our little girly.

She loves it!

Seriously, so adorable and peaceful!

Will someone please invent a swing like this for grown ups?

Tiny girl bed

We bought a bassinet for Macy to sleep in in our room, until she graduates to her little girl bed- her crib that's in her room with her sisters.  (Ali is finally sleeping in her big girl bed as opposed to all the crazy places she used to sleep!).

However, for the first month after I came home from the hospital I wasn't sleeping in my room.  It was too hard for me to climb in and out of our tall bed, so Len and I slept on our big sectional in our family room.  All 3 of us just moved upstairs last week.

She likes her new bed even better than her NICU bed.

However, her very first morning home she woke up with a nasty cold.  Poor baby!

Macy's Homecoming!

Macy finally got to come home from the hospital!!

Her cheeks are so chubby...

but she's still a tiny girl.  Her carseat seems to swallow her up!

 The miracle for me, is that she is finally wireless!

 I made cupcakes to celebrate!

 I love getting to snuggle my girl whenever I want to now!

 All of her siblings are so excited to have her home!  Ali and Hiram think she is a little doll to play with.

Teague and Gavin think she's pretty fun to play with too.  (Look at Teague's tongue, ha!)

Macy also likes being at home with her family!

Of course, she's also gotten lots of snuggles with her Daddy and big brother and sister Kaleb and Noé.  I just haven't gotten pictures of that yet.

Eat, Sleep, Poop, and Sneeze!

I had to add some more of my favorite pictures while Macy was in the NICU.  Some of these were shared on Facebook, so I wanted to share them here too.

EAT:

The poor girl had to have a feeding tube some days, just to make sure she was getting enough calories!

or at least drink bottles of Momma's milk.

Momma had to eat milk chocolate in order to produce that milk, ha!

Ali's size 6 night-time diaper, Macy's newborn size diaper- which always seemed so tiny to me, until one of our nurses gave us a micro-preemie size diaper.  It is so amazing that the sweet little babes born weighing only a pound can survive!
