Day 3- Uranus, Pink Elephant, and Grandpa's house in Greencastle, Indiana

After seeing so many billboards for Uranus, we decided to stop.

The whole place was decorated with crass humor and the staff were all friendly and well versed in the crass theme, ha ha!

They sure had delicious ice cream though!

I LOVE Abba-Zabas, but they are hard to find.  When I saw that they had it, we each chose another tasty treat.  They were so expensive though, we should have got some fudge instead, ha ha!

Thanks to makemytripfun.com we learned of this pink elephant, so we had to make another stop.

We finally made it to Grandpa's house!

Uncle Adam and Gabe.

We can't forget Lucy.

We can't forget the hens either.  I loved chatting with these ladies, and they chatted right back to me, ha ha!

I love Grandma's sign, and her flowers...

Thanks Grandpa for hosting us!  We missed you Grandma!

Day 2- Detroit, Michigan

Our kids spent many hours like this, and they all behaved so well!  Lots of snacks, music, and movies helped too!

After checking our kids into our hotel, Leonard and I served in the Detroit temple.

Day 1- Cambridge, Ontario

I got permission from President Stacey to take Elder Reil and Elder Shumway out to dinner.  It was so wonderful to see Kaleb!

We also had Elder Wynder (who was leaving for Guatemala the next day) and Elder Beutler (who had completed his mission and was heading home the next day) join us.  It was a wonderful evening!

Ready for our epic road trip

When 7 people are going on a month-long road trip, there is a LOT to pack!  Luckily, after we fit all of this in our van there was still room for us, ha ha!

Kids Art

I always take photos of the kids' artwork each year, and it's always hard to choose which ones to share, but here are this year's picks.

Gavin

Teague

Hiram

Ali

Macy

Summer Camps 2022

In July, Gavin and Teague got to attend our stake's young men's camp.

In August, Gavin got to attend FSY with youth from all over eastern Canada.
They had a blast!

Jen's #47

I can not even believe I am 47!  When my mom turned 47 she had been a grandma for 27 days, yet here I am dreaming of having another baby of my own.

We donned our party hats.

Except for Macy, ha ha.
(Gavin was at FSY.)

She's adorable without one.

But look!  She wore one with daddy holding her.

And later she wore this one too!
If she never wears them again, at least I got these cute pictures.

I was spoiled.

Leonard got me a new camera (you may have noticed my pictures have been fuzzy since the flash broke on my old camera), and a heart-shaped, mermaid necklace.

I found a new baker in town (Sweets N Treats) that I want to make all of our birthday cakes this year.

I love how my "J" cake turned out and it was so yummy!

Wishin', wishin' wishin'!

My sweet friend, Mary, brought me over this gorgeous bouquet.

And my dear friends, Laura and Rhonda, brought me over some Lindt truffles and yummy hand soap.  I feel so spoiled!

After my birthday we invited some friends over for a bundt cake party.  I made chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and lemon cakes.  They could be topped with strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, peaches, mandarin oranges, pineapple, coconut, and whip cream!
