Last year was ASB's 35th year of being a school, so to celebrate they created an anthology called Memories from the Road. This year is ASB's 35th anniversary, so they created another anthology, this time an epistolary- Letters from the Road.
And my letter was published!!
My friends Gretel and Nickole were also published!
The evening of the Book Launch was also the Jarul Award for best Indian picture book. My friend Julie, is one of the 3 librarians that created the Jarul Award. How cool is that! The winner was The Night Monster, so we had to buy it! Of course, we have 6 kiddos though, so we also had to buy some of the nominated books as well as some of the honorable mentions. We added Princess Easy Pleasy; The Princess with the Longest Hair (my favorite); Unhappy Moon; A Pair of Twins; and The Wednesday Bazaar to our book collection.
Books are such wonderful things!!
