This year on World Down Syndrome Day, I watched a powerful video with the message, "Assume I can and maybe I will." Part of me absolutely loves that! I want Macy to be able to do anything she wants to, and I want others to support her in that. The other part of me wants Macy to know that even if I assume she can, that maybe she won't- and that's okay!! I love and accept her just the way she is, and just like all of my children I hope she will reach her full potential. And it's okay if those potentials are different from one another.
