So Blessed

We are so blessed to have Gavin in our family, and today his daddy gave him a name and a blessing at church. It was so special because Grandpa with green eyes stood in his blessing circle. We are so glad Grandpa joined our church! Gavin received a wonderful blessing and the other men in the circle were Ben Shaffer, Ken Lanshe, and Ryan Anderton. We wish Grampa with blue eyes could have been here, and daddy's 3 brothers too (we know Grandpa in Heaven was with us).

Grandpa's in town!

Grandpa with green eyes came to meet his new grandson and visit with his first 2 grandkids too! He arrived January 27th and stayed until February 3rd. We took him to see the main sights- CKS Memorial, the old Westgate from when this city was walled, the 101 building, and to Taiwan Handicraft Mart (great for souvenirs!). We also went to restaurants, rode the MRT & taxi's, and went to Kaleb's soccer game. It was also special that Grandpa got to help bless Gavin at church. A nice surprise was when we went to Kaleb & Noe's class and they a threw a party to welcome Gavin- how sweet! We were all so happy Grandpa got to visit us, but so sad that the time went too fast.

Gramma's in town!

Gramma with blue eyes came to visit us! She had to meet her new grandson and visit with her first two grandkids too! She arrived January 12 and got to stay until the 23rd. We were all thrilled that she got to come and see us, the time just went too fast- as usual!

We didn't do a lot of sight-seeing while mom was here, but we did some. These pictures are of the Taipei 101 building, currently the tallest building in the world (however, there are some under construction that will pass it). We also went to the Chiang-Kai Shek Memorial Hall, to church (and visited the Taipei Temple right next door), to some Chinese Temples, to Kaleb & Noe's school, to Kaleb's soccer game, and mom rode the MRT, some taxi's, and witnessed the swarms of scooters here. We went to the movies and out to restaurants. Mom also did some grocery & souvenir shopping after she brought a second Christmas to us here. We hung-out at home and hiked around the mountain in our backyard and just had a great time. I miss her already!

Doll Babies

Gavin was so tiny when he came home from the hospital! I wanted to see if he would fit in Ashley Marie's (the doll) cradle. He did!

What a little teddy bear!

Kaleb & Noe are getting so big. They are such good kids!

Gavin's binky from the hospital is as big as his face. Isn't he precious though? I just adore all of my children and feel so blessed to have them in my life!

New Year brings new baby!

Gavin's due date was January 9th, but he came early and celebrated his birthday on December 17th. Unfortunately, the poor little guy's lungs weren't ready yet and he had to spend a week in the NICU (at a different hospital than mommy- so very sad!) We got to bring him home on Christmas day, and we all agreed he was our best present ever. Now we're starting the new year and look forward to many new "firsts."
