After our fiasco of a morning, we decided to do the rest of our eye-popping days out with just two of our kids at a time.
Hiram and Kaleb were ready to hop in a cab to head back to Madame Tussaud's, but we rode the tube AGAIN.
We finally made it! The original Madame Tussaud's. Original, meaning the first of the 23 attractions that are around the world. However, this was not the location of her museum. It burned down, but this museum has been on Baker Street since 1884.
Marie Tussaud learned the art of wax sculpting in her homeland of France. During the 1780's she was often in Versailles preparing figures of the royal family. After the French Revolution she took her exhibition on tour, then finally settled in London. After her death in 1850 her son took over the business and it was passed down through the family for generations.
On to Hollywood!
Len got to meet his birthday twin, Angelina. While I got to meet my old Hollywood crush. I still think it would have been so funny if I married him and became Jennifer Pittl-Pitt. I like Jennifer Reil much better!
Kaleb got to meet his celebrity crush Emma Watson.
We also met John,
Marilyn,
and Audrey.
Hiram preferred meeting friends from the Animation world. He was captivated with Tinkerbell,
the Angry Birds,
and Shrek & Gingy.
And now the Royals!
Len enjoyed chatting with Richard III.
While Kaleb felt a little intimidated meeting Henry VIII.
Whenever I've complained about not liking my nose, Leonard's always said it reminds him of Princess Diana's. Maybe?
I've been to London to visit the Queen! And Prince Philip too.

The Queen is actually the most-waxed person by Madame Tussaud's, with 23 wax figures having been made. The first was done when she was just 2 years old.
This was sculpted in commemoration of her Diamond Jubilee in 2012.
All of the royals were so charming.
It would have been nice to have all of our kids with us in this shot.
The Queen has had another reason to celebrate this year as she is now the longest reigning monarch of England!

Kaleb enjoyed giving Dickens rabbit ears.
Thank goodness he met Van Gogh when he still had both of his.
He helped Einstein with a little equation he was working on.
He also chatted with Shakespeare about the human condition, so comic, so tragic.

Ah, politics!
Len had to bend Churchill's ear about the state of the world.
With the recent Brexit vote, Leonard was sad to see David Cameron resign.
Getting ready to move to India, we had to meet Narendra Modi.
(Actually, there was a huge Bollywood section too, but we don't know those stars...yet.)
I felt obligated to meet President Obama, but I do admit I wish I had met Mitt Romney instead.
Now it's time for some real Superheroes!
