Winter Wonderful

Gavin and Teague got to go on three winter field trips in February.

They visited the ice slides of Winterlude at Jacques Cartier Park and saw an Imax movie the first week.  The next week (which happened to be Valentine's day) they went tubing at Edelweiss.  The last week they went ice skating and bowling.  I wish I could have gone with them!

Lots in the Bank

In the SNOW bank that is!  It's hard to tell how tall these snow banks are in these photos as I took them after the kids left for school.  I wish I took them with the kids in them.  I'll just tell you that when backing out of the driveway, I couldn't see over them in my car.  It's so scary!

The cedar hedge around the utility box is completely buried!

You can see the cedar hedge on this side, but only barely.

Can you find the sidewalk?

There it is!

One of my friends said that she felt like she was walking in an igloo walking down our sidewalk, yikes!

Have a seat.

Our neighbors dug a path to their backyard.  We couldn't even open our backyard gate if we tried.

Where's our deck?

Our barbecue is almost buried!

I see you bunny tracks!  Now I want some moose tracks ice cream!

The view of our street.  Each house has a mountain of snow in front of it.  It's hard driving home finding my own house!

Jolly Jumper

All of my babies have had exersaucers, but I think that Macy's Jolly Jumper one is the best!  I took a video of her bouncing in it for her physiotherapist and had to take some pictures too.

She loves that baby in the mirror!

Oh hi mom.

I eat starfish.

Yum!

I want to smooch her cute little lips.

She's got her fingers in her mouth now, she's all done jumping and ready to relax.

Gingerbread Houses and Trains

We had TEN kids for the weekend!

When Rita had a work conference and we had Liam, Talia, and Ruby join our crazy crew!

We visited the North Pole.  Well, we had the kids make Gingerbread Houses...

...and Trains.  One creation for each of them!

Talia and NoƩ's.

Gavin and Ali's (who had help from Daddy).

Macy (who had help from Mommy) and Kaleb's.

Teague and Hiram's.

Liam and Ruby's.

At first, we had some tears as projects weren't turning out like the ones on the box covers.  Once we pretended we were on an episode of Nailed It! everyone was having fun.  Ruby was the cutest little cheerleader encouraging everyone!

I love all these kiddos!  They're like cousins!

Macy's #1

This year instead of birthday parties (we alternate years) we'll be taking each child out on a date with Mom and Dad.  However, since it was Macy's FIRST birthday, we took all of her brothers and sisters along too.  We had dinner at Pizza Hut...

...then went home for cake!

Happy Birthday to you!

Happy Birthday dear Macy!

From our silly crew!

Macy was mesmerized with the candle flame.

However, she didn't want to eat any of it (and all I offered her was some frosting).  I'm no longer sure that she's my daughter, as I could live off buttercream.

She opened her cards from us and her grandparents...

...as well as her birthday present.

She got these darling Beanie-Boos.

Happy Birthday Macy!  We hope you have a wonderful year!

Macy @ 12 months

I blinked and Macy turned one year old!!

At 12 months, Macy rolls everywhere!  She can't crawl yet, but she can get anywhere she wants to go by rolling.  She's become a night owl and loves to have lively conversations with me after her siblings are in bed and she just laughs her head off.  She weaned herself a few weeks before her birthday (so sad for me), but she doesn't want to drink anything now from a bottle, sippy cup, or regular cup.  She's still a good eater, and her pureed foods are keeping her hydrated.  She gives the best hugs and kisses.  We all just adore her!

Thank you Macy for coming to our family!  We love you so much!

You can watch her grow through the months HERE

Lone Star Texas Grill

We started reading the Book of Mormon again on July 9, 2018.  In the fall, we decided we wanted to finish reading it before the year ended, so we went from reading one chapter a day to about five pages a day.  Unfortunately, we didn't quite reach our goal, as we read from our Christmas book from December 1st-25th.  However, we did finish on January 5, 2019.  To celebrate reaching our goal, we had lunch at Lone Star.

I love reading the scriptures with my family and love that we are now reading the New Testament together.
