Macy's Homecoming!

Macy finally got to come home from the hospital!!

Her cheeks are so chubby...

but she's still a tiny girl.  Her carseat seems to swallow her up!

 The miracle for me, is that she is finally wireless!

 I made cupcakes to celebrate!

 I love getting to snuggle my girl whenever I want to now!

 All of her siblings are so excited to have her home!  Ali and Hiram think she is a little doll to play with.

Teague and Gavin think she's pretty fun to play with too.  (Look at Teague's tongue, ha!)

Macy also likes being at home with her family!

Of course, she's also gotten lots of snuggles with her Daddy and big brother and sister Kaleb and Noé.  I just haven't gotten pictures of that yet.

Eat, Sleep, Poop, and Sneeze!

I had to add some more of my favorite pictures while Macy was in the NICU.  Some of these were shared on Facebook, so I wanted to share them here too.

EAT:

The poor girl had to have a feeding tube some days, just to make sure she was getting enough calories!

Here's she's showing us how she felt about that!

She'd much rather nurse,

or at least drink bottles of Momma's milk.

Momma had to eat milk chocolate in order to produce that milk, ha!

SLEEP:

POOP: 

Ali's size 6 night-time diaper, Macy's newborn size diaper- which always seemed so tiny to me, until one of our nurses gave us a micro-preemie size diaper.  It is so amazing that the sweet little babes born weighing only a pound can survive!

I already shared Macy's super poop story, but I had to share a picture of her with our favorite NICU nurse!

Sleepy on the Stairs

On my way to the bathroom, I found a sleepy little Hiram.

I can't imagine he's comfortable, but he looks so sweet.

On my way leaving the bathroom I found this.  Perhaps he's a little more comfortable.

A little while later Kaleb tossed down some sheets to be washed and they landed on a sleepy Hiram again.  He ended up being sick this day, but he was so cute sleeping on the stairs.

Basket Case

Ali was playing on her Daddy's phone.  When I went to check on her this is what I found:

Due Date

Today is Macy's due date, so I thought I'd share some of my favorite pictures from each day of her life so far!

January 22nd:

Happy Birthday Macy!

January 23rd:

 Skin-to-skin snuggles with Mom.

January 24th:

Out of hospital clothes and into her own.

January 25th: 

Long day at CHEO- 4 hours!  Her first post-womb echocardiogram, that lasted for 2 1/2 hours!!

January 26th:

Macy's from the future!  Receiving phototherapy to lower her bilirubin levels.

January 27th: 

Macy finally got to meet her family.  Ali loves being a big sister and Macy sure loves her!

January 28th: 

First time we saw her with her binky.

January 29th:

One week birthday snuggles with Mommy.

January 30th:

 Macy did not like her bath (after her super poop!), but I think it was because the water we were given was so cold!

January 31st:

 I have seen this face before!  She is definitely a "Reil" baby!

February 1st:

 Peek-a-boo, I see you!

February 2nd:

 Macy loving her snuggles with Daddy.

February 3rd:

 She's just a little bird drinking her bottle (that feels like a pencil in my hand).

February 4th:

 First picture with Mommy and Daddy!

February 5th:

Macy got to meet her Auntie Jackie today!

Macy was only in the NICU for 2 more days, so I'll add a picture from each of those days as well.

February 7th:

Macy had to go back on oxygen today.

February 8th:

Macy's last day in the NICU.  We're so glad we got to bring her home!

Third 1st Day of School

It's our third "first" day of school! This time it's the Catholic board for the win. The Public board wanted to give them zero credit for their semester in the States, while the Catholic board gave them full credit and they are starting the first day of the second semester just like all of their peers. They are such great helpers in our family, and such great friends to me. I will miss not having them around during the day, but this is so good for them to get back to regular life!

My handsome boy! I hope he gets lots of opportunities to develop his musical talents this semester!

My beautiful girl! I hope she can continue dancing this semester!

These two are lucky to have each other (even if they don't always think so)! Seriously, I think everyone should have a twin!
