Yesterday we watched three sessions of General Conference for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and today we get to watch two more sessions. I love listening to the Prophet, the Apostles, and all the leaders of the church. I'm grateful for inspiration on how I can improve myself and strive to be a faithful disciple of Christ and how to love & serve others better.

Do you remember the story of
Jonah? Most people remember that he was the guy that got swallowed by a fish and lived in its belly for 3 days. Most people don't remember that he was called of God to preach repentance to the city of Nineveh. He didn't want to do it and tried to run away, that's when he got swallowed by the fish. After he miraculously survived this, he did go to Nineveh and he did preach repentance. The people would be destroyed if they continued living in their sins, however they would be spared if they repented and turned their lives towards God. Here is the real miracle- they did it! The people of Nineveh repented and were spared! This story gives me so much hope. With all that is going on in the world, we know it is the last days before Christ will return to the earth. We know the scriptures prophesy about the battle of Armageddon. But what if we repent instead? What if we turn from our sins and turn towards God so Christ can come to live with us for a thousand years without having Armageddon first? I want to work for that, and that is why I share my testimony (clumsy as it may be) on my blog and Facebook and hopefully by the life I live. I love Jesus Christ and want to do my part to build His kingdom. I can't wait until the day that He returns to the earth to reign with peace and love.
