Our apartment is right at the base of Qilian Mountain. We've hiked it several times, and last Saturday Len took our 3 big kids out to explore some new trails.
They found a huge sun dial that really had the correct time.
They also came across a family tomb with old and new graves and little temple shrines.

This tree is just screaming, "Climb me!" Except that it's on a mountain and you really wouldn't want to fall from it.
My poor Len carried Gavin for most of the hike and the next day he bent over to pick something up and threw his back out. He was pretty miserable all week until he finally took my advice and went to the doctor. The doc gave him 3 kinds of drugs that have really helped him. We still feel young, but our bodies are starting to feel old- scary!
