Gavin's class worked hard studying different threats to the environment. They presented their findings as speeches to the United Nations. Some of the topics were protecting the rain forests and coral reefs, getting rid of air and water pollution, and erosion caused by tourists.
Gavin's speech was on over-fishing. He practiced at home several times and did a great job, with a very convincing argument. On the day of his presentation, he got a bit of stage fright and cried a little. His teacher took him aside and helped calm him down, then he was able to overcome his fears and deliver his message. Well done Gavin! I'm so proud of you!
