I have some friends who profess to be C & E Christians, meaning they only go to church on Christmas and Easter. Our church is different that way. We don't have worship services on Christmas, unless Christmas falls on a Sunday. We also don't do anything extra special on Easter. For example, this upcoming Easter falls on the first Sunday of April when our General Conference will be taking place. Don't get me wrong here, we celebrate Christmas and Easter! We believe Jesus Christ is our Savior because He atoned for our sins, died for us, and was resurrected. Easter is everything to us, and because of Easter we celebrate His life and birth and thus Christmas. We just believe we should worship Him ALL year long, not just on holidays, or even every Sunday, but every day! We may not do "extra" special services for the holidays, but we still have special services- usually with lovely musical numbers. Here we are all dressed up on the Sunday before Christmas.
Daddy and his girls.
Momma and her boys.
Our little Christmas elf.
(Noé wore her red & white striped tights too!)
She is our sweet little gift and is always wearing a bow to remind us!
"As we seek Christ, as we find Him, as we follow Him, we shall have the Christmas Spirit, not for one fleeting day each year, but as a companion always." ~Thomas S. Monson
