M.O.D.

A week after Kaleb's date, it was August so we took Noé on her date.

She wanted to visit M.O.D.- Mad Over Donuts.

Inside was a wall filled with pictures of donuts.  Noé wanted me to take a picture of these sprinkled lips.  I was happy to oblige as I wanted a picture of the green circle inside the white square in the bottom left of it.  There are many religions in India and many of these religions have food restrictions.  So EVERY food item is labeled with a green or red dot.  Green means veg, for vegetarians; while red means non-veg, for non-vegetarians.  I know what they both mean, but my brain still thinks of them as meat and non-meat, ha ha.  Eggs are obviously labeled non-veg, however dairy products are labeled veg, so they are for lactovegetarians.  It used to be illegal to eat beef at all in Maharashtra.  Now you can eat it, as long as the cow you are eating wasn't slaughtered in Maharashtra.  Many beef eaters have been severely beaten or raped by sacred cow gangs though, so it's hard to find beef anywhere.  We have friends who have frozen beef and pork products and brought them over in their suitcases.  We are acquiring a taste for buffalo (as in water buffalo not bison) meat and thank goodness chicken is plentiful.

Our donuts were quite delicious!  Noé chose a chocolate cream one, while Len and I chose nutella ones. They were heated in the microwave before we were served them and they were just ooey gooey chocolaty goodness!
