American Thanksgiving

American Thanksgiving was pretty much a regular day around here, and that broke my heart!  Not only was I missing our three extended families, but I was missing my little family!  Leonard had to work, the kids had school, and I had to take Macy to see her nutritionist and the Down syndrome doctor at the hospital.  Boo!

We did have pumpkin pie after a regular dinner and we did watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.

My Canadian husband agreed that our holiday hygge was just off this year.  We need to celebrate Halloween in October, Thanksgiving in November, and Christmas in December.  Hopefully, next Thanksgiving Len will be able to take the day off work, we'll pull the kids out of school, and I'll reschedule any appointments Macy may have so we can celebrate as a family.  If not, I may just head down to the States by myself, ha ha!

Hello Reil. I am a Pastor from Mumbai, India. I am glad to stop by your profile on the blogger and the blog post. I am also blessed and feel privileged and honoured to get connected with you as well as know you and your interest. I am also blessed by my visit your blog post. Those beautiful pictures of your family with radiant faces with the expression of God's love. I am honoured to know your family. I love getting connected with the people of God around the globe to be encouraged, strengthened and praying for one another. I have been in the Pastoral ministry for last 39 yrs in this great city of Mumbai a city with a great contrast where richest of rich and the poorest of poor live. We reach out to the poorest of poor with the love of Christ to bring healing to the brokenhearted. We also encourage young and the adults from the west to come to Mumbai to work with us during their vacation time. We would love to have your grown up children who are in their late teens and above to come to Mumbai to work with us during their vacation time. I am sure they will have a life changing experience. Looking forward to hear from you very soon. My email id is: dhwankhede(at)gmail(dot)com and my name is Diwakar Wankhede. God's richest blessings on you your family and friends. God willing I will be coming to Calgary, Canada to visit our son and his family with a wife and two beautiful daughters one almost two years of age and the other just three months old. Would love to meet interested young people who want to come to Mumbai on a missions trip.
