Ali turned 6 and we spent the day celebrating her! Just like Teague, the corona virus cancelled our plans to have a party with friends, but she had a great day with her hooky-playing family. Also, like Teague she chose the menu for the day starting with Lucky Charms (what little girl can resist cereal with rainbows and unicorns in it, plus we don't eat this on a regular basis).
She had wanted us to play pass the parcel again, like we did at Teague's party, but I wanted to switch it up a bit. We wrapped more chocolate bars, but hid them all over the house for a scavenger hunt.
We gave Ali the first clue, then off we went to find the first candy bar. Ali got to unwrap it, decide who got that bar, and reveal the next clue. Ali chose well and everyone liked the little treat they got.
We made her dinner choice for lunch- taco salad, her favorite!
Dessert came before dinner too (which was her original lunch choice- bagels and cream cheese, ha ha!). She wanted a pink cake with bubble gum. Well, I made her a lemon cake with strawberries and coconut in between the layers with pink buttercream. We couldn't find gumballs, ugh! so I used Smarties to decorate it for her.
She was pleased with it! And luckily, she shared with us too.
Make a wish!
Of course, she wanted her favorite ice cream- Neapolitan to go with her cake.
Time for presents!
She was also re-gifted the big present in the foreground by our dear family friends.
She wanted Scruff-a-Luvs so bad!! They come out of the box like a big hair ball. You give it a bath to discover if it's a dog or cat and how many babies it has.
Ali lucked out and got one of each! Her dog mama had 2 puppies and her cat mama had 3 kittens. All 5 babies are boys too.
We lost our identical dollhouse from our move back from India.
Thank you Wilde family for giving us yours after your kids outgrew it! All of the kiddos were so happy to have this fun house again. Macy's not in the picture, but she loves to play with it too.
We had another great day celebrating everything Ali!
