PAFSO (Leonard's work union) was on strike for 6 months! He still worked, but only 9-5 each day, no overtime, evening events, or weekends, etc. They had creative dress days, walk-out days, and picketed. Here in Ottawa they picketed at the Pearson building and in front of Parliament. They picketed around the world at each of the Embassies too. Hiram, Ruby, and I even joined Len one day at the picket lines.
The same day I found out I was pregnant, Len got the good news that the strike was finally over! He wore purple (PAFSO's color) on that first day back and a suit again, no more jeans and polos. We're still waiting for our 3 years of expired contract back-pay, but it should be here by March (and will hopefully help us by our new 8-seater vehicle for baby!).
