City Palace

After visiting the observatory, I marveled at the wonderful invention of clocks!

The City Palace, home of the Maharaja of Jaipur from 1729 to modern day!

The previous Raj had only one daughter.  However, she had 3 children before her father passed away.  He adopted her oldest son as his own, and after he passed his grandson was crowned at only 13 years old (he's now only 18).

The second flag means the "king" is home.

I'm always amazed at the intricate carvings.

The details are just beautiful!

The grand entrance arch.

The elephant is lovely, but I really wanted a picture of the 2 guards in their red turbans.

Delicate details ornament everything!

Noé loves chandeliers, but I love the white painting on top of Jaipur's famous pink!
