All of the historic buildings of Jaipur are painted this "terracotta pink" color. I would call it "peach" but it is beautiful no matter what color you call it!
The sky was FILLED with kites. Our guide told us the locals were practicing for the upcoming Kite Festival on January 14th.
The Water Palace.
How does one build a water palace?
You build the palace first, then make a lake around it. True story!

The Hawa Mahal or "Palace of the Winds" is actually just a huge facade allowing the Raj's harem to look out over the marketplace.
You couldn't tell in the daytime, but every pane of glass is a different color. When we drove by at night it looked like a gingerbread house with reds, yellows, greens, and blues.
