Even though trick-or-treating was cancelled this year because of covid, it was still one of our best Halloweens on record. Navy spent the night, the night before and we all watched Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. In the morning we put on spooky music, while the kids took turns carving pumpkins. In the meantime, I made caramel apples. In the afternoon we all got dressed up in our fabulous costumes.
Noé and Navy were Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy from SpongeBob SquarePants.
Hiram and Ali were a Taekwondo student and royal princess.
Gavin and Teague were Steve McGarrett and Danny Williams from Hawaii 5-O.
Kaleb and Macy were Count Dracula and a tasty strawberry.
Leonard was a graduate (since he never got to go back to the University of Kent for his Master's degree convocation). I was La Catrina Calavera.
We sent the kids on a scavenger hunt so they could each retrieve these yummy treats.
The caramel apples I made.
The Granny Smith apples were so tart, they needed the caramel to be edible, ha ha!
We watched It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! as a family, then after the littles were done for the night, the bigs watched The Others. It's such a great ghost story!
Ali was gifted this awesome cat costume and she cannot wait to wear it next year!
She loves her tail.
And twirly skirt.
Halloween is so fun!
