Tri-Water Tournament

When the covid restrictions loosened up, we got outside to walk!  The tulip festival was on, so we walked the entire Rideau Canal and Dows Lake all the way to Hog's Back.  A while later we wanted to get outside again, so we set off for Petrie Island.  The whole town must have had that idea as every single parking space was full, and it was crazy crowded!  Since we were still in a pandemic, we opted not to join the crowd.  We did begin the Ottawa River pathway there though.  When we finished for the day, we decided we'd keep walking different stretches of the river until we finished it.  After several weeks, we did it!  I wasn't done walking by water though, so we decided to walk all of the Rideau River too down to Mooney's Bay.  We had several fun family hikes, and several fun date nights just Leonard and I, but we completed our goal to walk all 3 water pathways in Ottawa.  Here are the photos from our final walk.

We found secret gardens.

Len found a portal to The Shire.

While I found the Bridge to Terabithia.

Mooney's Bay is a lovely spot, so we took the kids back the next day!
